Why fragrance-free is not boring

Fragrance is the most common irritant in a bathroom cabinet, and the easiest thing to remove.

What you lose

Almost nothing. Scent in skincare is a marketing layer applied after the formula is finished. Removing it does not weaken an active or shorten a shelf life.

What you do lose is the moment of pleasure when you open the jar. We think that is a fair trade for skin that stops flaring for reasons you cannot identify.

What fragrance-free actually means

No parfum, no essential oils, no masking agents. Some brands remove parfum, add essential oils, and still write fragrance-free on the box. Essential oils are fragrance with a better story.

Our formulas smell faintly of their own ingredients, which is to say mostly of nothing. That is the point.
